Hot working, cold working, heat treatment and welding performance
A hot working
The thermal processing properties of Hastelloy C-276 alloy are similar to those of 0Crl6Ni60Mol6W4 alloy. Some thermal processing parameters can be referred to the latter.
B cold working
The alloy has good cold workability and can produce cold-processed metallurgical products such as thin plates, wires and tubes. In solid solution state, this alloy has the best cold formability (Table 8-35).

C heat treatment
The alloy has a solution treatment temperature lower than that of Hastelloy C-276 alloy. After 1120 °C: solid solution water cooling, the alloy has the best combination of corrosion resistance and mechanics.
D welding
The welding characteristics of this alloy are basically the same as those of Hastelloy C-276 alloy. The filling metal composition is the same as that of the base metal. Because of the good thermal stability of the alloy, the corrosion resistance and plasticity after welding are better than 0Crl6Ni60Mol6W4 alloy.
